Fashion Friday Summer Series: 60's Inspired

You can't get more girly than a dress with pleated folds. I'm not a fan of the pleat on pants (I feel as though it unnecessarily makes my thighs look bigger), but on a skirt it's pretty cute.

These dresses are pretty similar. I feel like the first one with the polka dots, plunging neckline and capped sleeves is a little more informal than the second dress. Also, I'm pretty sure the material of the second dress is more rigid, whereas the first one is more flow-y and has the opportunity to blow up in the wind Marilyn Monroe style. I do like them both, which is why I couldn't really pick just one.

I would totally wear the second one with an apron. Even if I wasn't baking. It just needs to be worn with an apron. And since an apron worn outside of the house is pretty much ridiculous, I would definitely pair it with what is, basically, a staple in my real wardrobe: the cardigan.

The shoe is a simple heel with the polka-dotted bow at the back to compliment the print of the dresses. Definitely a cute outfit.
