Oh, Canada GIVEAWAY!!

(comments are open for this post)

The Olympics start in a few short hours and it has put me in a festive and giving mood ... sooooo ...

without further adieu ... here is my giveaway!!

Non-edible items first:

The official Vancouver 2010 Olympics mittens which are red and warm and fuzzy and I swear you will love these as much as I love my own pair!! Also, OH HAI CUTE MASCOT!!! His name is Quatchi and he is adorable and is wearing earmuffs and wants to be loved!! He's also a keychain!!

The world needs more Canada!!! Or so says this awesome merchandise! Here we have a spiraled notebook in which you can write all the reasons you love Canada and/or the Olympics, a stainless steel canteen which you will drink water out of because writing about the awesomeness of Canada/Olympics makes you very thirsty and earbuds so that you can listen to awesome Canadian bands on your mp3 player (it doesn't have to be Nickelback) while you write about how awesome Canada is while drinking your water (or other questionable beverage -- I won't tell).

Edible items next:

It's a maple flavoured cookie in the shape of a Canadian flag!! Maple!!! MAPLE!!! And, your eyes are not deceiving you; there is a package of gum in there. BUT it's not any ordinary gum ... it's OLYMPIC GUM AND YOU WILL GAIN THE STRENGTH OF AN OLYMPIAN WHEN YOU CHEW IT!!! Okay, not really. But, each piece does have the print of a maple leaf on it ... no joke!! The flavour is Winter Fresh, btw, not maple.

Tim Hortons COFFEE!!

Tim Hortons French Vanilla Cappuccino!!!

I haven't yet purchased them, but they will be part of the package. After all, this is motherfucking Canada, y'all, and we drink Tim Hortons here. Period. And if you mix the two together ... mmmmmmmmmm!!!

All together now!!

All of this will be mailed out (including the coffee, which isn't pictured) to one lucky recipient by Tuesday ...

Your job to "enter" is to leave a comment telling me what country you come from and how many medals you think/hope your country will win!

Good luck!!

OH HAI! I have this bizarre fascination with all things Canadian, so this is just the awesomest thing!

I hail from the country of bears and suicides, Finland and I'm kinda hoping my country will win at least one medal. People get so darn whiny about the medals here everytime, so maybe that would help a bit.

I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia (back when the earth was still cooling), but now live close to San Francisco where God Save the Queen has an entirely different meaning. :) Although I have retained my Canadian citizenship (much to the consternation of the customs folks at the airport), I've lived in California most of my life. So I hope the USA wins at least 14 medals and Canada takes all the rest!!! :)

My name is Chris and I am from the USA. I predict we win 97 medals. LOL

I'm from the US and I have no idea how many medals we'll win. I'll go with...32. I just like the little fuzzy thing so I thought I would de-lurk.

Hope you enjoy watching the Olympics! :)

Oh, crap. I first read this the other day and thought it said entries due by Tuesday. Yes, I thought it was odd at the time.

Anyhoo...I'm the US and my guess for total medals for the US is 28.

Thanks.

I am very happy to see your love for Canada. Not that you don't love Canada. While watching the opening ceremonies, it was great to see a very patriotic Canada. I was so happy to see the inclusion of Terry Fox's mother

Medal guesses: US will win 30 medals and Canada will win 26, including 3 golds.

It's me! Danielle! Your sister from another mother and father! You know I love Canada almost as much as I love you!
I am from the US but I will be visiting my Welshman for the next month. He is trying to talk his company into letting him work in TORONTO so maybe I will live near you and hang out and be besties!

I hope Canada wins a lot of medals because you Canadians are awesome.

I JUST WANT QUATCHI!! QUATCHI IS A BUNCH OF AWESOME IN A FURRY LITTLE PACKAGE!

You can send the runner-up everything else. See how generous I am!? :)

USA! 27 medals! My in-laws are headed to Whistler next week, I'm hoping they'll bring me back some loot if I don't win :)

L said...

You know I don't want to win, but that Quatchi is SO cute!
I think the US will win around 30 medals, and Canada won't be far behind. Watching your skier get the first home-soil gold yesterday was pretty great!

I actually got event confused and gave my prediction for the next summer olympics.

USA will win 31 medals. Canada will win 34.

Thus far, I am really enjoying watching.

I like it when I can come here and comment, especially after your hockey boys didn't win. Nah, that's water under the bridge.

I think it's great you're doing this Olympic care package thing. So kind of you.

Michael said...

Yay Canada! - I don't care what anyone says - the Olympics have been a huge success.

I'm going out on a limb and predicting Canada will win 26 medals and 14 of them will be gold. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. It does seem like a lot of gold medals, but it's deserved.
