I need to vent a little bit because, well I haven't done that in a long time and something has been bothering me and instead of keeping it inside, I'll just purge it onto here.
Oh, and I apologize in advance, because it is nothing racy and has nothing to do with a member of the opposite sex.
I have this friend that I met at work, only now we don't work together so it's harder to keep in touch. I always felt like the true test of friendship comes from when you don't see someone everyday. And we had been doing alright for some time.
But then, every time we'd make plans, she'd be all excited about it and woo hooing and all I can't wait to see you guys!!! But then, ALWAYS cancel with something that just came up or she didn't realize it was on the same day as something else or whatever.
We're in the same book club and we are supposed to have a meeting this coming Thursday where she is choosing the book (and she even sent me a message complaining about not having chosen one for a long time, so I sent an email out to another person in the club asking if she could pick next because of said reason).
So the day is set and she's all woooo I can't wait to reveal the book and see you guys!!!
Literally a few minutes later, she sends another email saying she can't make it because of a previous engagement and how she thought it was NEXT Thursday. Fine, everyone makes mistakes.
I decided I'd play devil's advocate anyway. I sent a mass email suggesting that we change it to NEXT Thursday so that she'll be able to make it. Well, doesn't a second email come out saying OH THAT WOULD BE EVEN WORSE!!!
How is it worse when you just said you THOUGHT IT WAS NEXT THURSDAY AND IMPLYING THAT YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE IT THEN!?!?!?
Sorry, it just pisses me off how she keeps doing this. She just keeps bailing out. But the thing that pisses me off the most about it, is that she's complained to me in the past that she feels as though we leave her out when we do things.
Ugh. Sometimes being a girl sucks ass.
