The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year?

Yeah, maybe for you parents ... you get to unload your little brats, I mean, awesome spawns, on us teachers.

Well, it is inevitable. This is what I have signed up for, after all. I just hope that in the course of these past couple of months that your kids have been on vacation, you have done the following:

  • MADE THEM READ BOOKS!!
  • Stimulated their minds by having them do something other than just play mindless video games.
  • Spent quality time with them.
  • MADE THEM READ BOOKS!!!
The summer can go by in the blink of an eye, and when you look back on it, you can either think, "Wow, what a great time I had!" or "WTF WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO AND WHAT DO I HAVE TO SHOW FOR IT?!"

I had a great summer, NYC in July and Greece in August. Thinking back on NYC, though, it seems like it happened a million years ago. But it happened and I have the pictures to prove it. And Greece ... ah, well, I keep re-living that experience in my head on a daily basis. Mind you, I've only been back a week and I'm FINALLY back on track time wise. Jet lag is no fun. But here I am writing this at 4 in the morning and have been up since about 2:30ish ... so maybe jet lag still has me by the balls.

September, we meet again. New school. New grade. New faces. I am looking forward to you.

But, in all honesty, I am counting down the days to my next vacation.

I'm thinking ... VEGAS!!
