I had a pretty interesting weekend having a sleepover with a couple of my nieces.
It was great and we had a good time, but I found myself hiding from them as much as I was spending time with them. Does that make sense? Do parents do that normally?
The girls were excited as this was their first sleepover together. They didn't get to bed until about 1am and I actually had to shush them on a couple of occasions, old person that I am. They woke up early so I tried to distract them with books.
Pancakes for breakfast, McDonald's for lunch, popcorn at the theatre to see the movie Up.
The movie was great but we almost didn't watch it because of a breakdown from niece 2. I'm just glad she got over her initial complaints because then it would've been over 60 dollars down the drain for me. Honestly, I can't even believe how expensive going to see a movie is these days.
And this is possibly the most boring post I've ever written in the history of this blog.
