I've seen this floating around on the interwebs.
Lately I've been going through a rough patch (I think someone might be trying to nail me for an issue at work, bringing it to the higher powers -- I have nothing to worry about, but it still gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, considering I've been social with this person outside of work and had even had this person over for dinner), so I think that is reason enough to write a post of this magnitude.
I'm trying to find things to be grateful for everyday anyway, so why not write it down.
Things I am grateful for:
- An impromptu trip to New York in a week and a half. Nothing is written in stone, but it's a strong possibility.
- How my two year-old niece brushes the hair off my face when she wants to plant a kiss on my cheek. Melts my heart. Everytime.
- My optimism about being in a high school this September and how I fully believe it's the only option for me.
- My Zumba class this Friday.
- My report cards will be done soon.
- My students have improved their grades = happy face!
- It's freezing but at least it's not snowing.
- 4 months left of work.
- Clothes fitting loser (even though boobs are staying true to their form).
- I will always have enough money to buy a book and a latte.

I am grateful for all the wonderful friends I've made in the blogging community.
I am grateful for the possibility of temps in the 50's this weekend.
I am grateful for the success and happiness of people that truly deserve it.
I am grateful for the fact that the President of the United States is a human being and doesn't mind that status (also that he speaks English and is just about the coolest dude on the planet earth).
I am grateful for not haivng booked a Zumba class. In fact, I am grateful at the moment to not even know what Zumba is so that I can't even remotely feel guilty for not being a part of the Zumba craze.
I've sort of avoided the GIST tidal wave that is sweeping through the blogosphere. But, I do like the idea of tracking what you're thankful for. Especially if it helps brighten your day.
I think it's very important to keep these things in mind when other things are starting to suck.
And your niece? Too cute.
Can an impromptu trip happen in a week and a half?
I'm grateful to be getting fit, although no one told my boobs....
I love the one about your niece- melted my black heart too... :)

i think it helps to put the crappy things in perspective when we keep track of all the good we got going. and it seems you have heaps!
