Sunday Revelations 2:3

I think that I'm a curse to any and all trainers I come into contact with.

Yesterday, new trainer left a message on my cell saying HE CAN'T MAKE OUR TRAINING SESSION!! Apparently he's got bronchitis or some shit like that. He did sound sick and he said he might be able to make our appointment today.

But I'm pretty much stopping that in its tracks.

I just sent him a text that said I've decided to keep working with ex-trainer. Apparently my going in to talk to management helped and she is resuming her employment there and we can continue where we left off. The only difference between ex-trainer and new trainer is that I actually received new trainer's text in time so I wouldn't be a sitting pylon again wondering where he was.

Truth is I liked working with ex-trainer. We got along great and I feel like our workouts won't leave me looking like Arnold's twin sister. And besides ... I am a paying customer. I should have a say in who I want to work out with. And I'm not going to let the Catholic guilt get its way with me.

All that's left to do is to make up a new schedule for myself and make sure that there are not any schedules on there which I have not been a part of. I sent ex-trainer a text as well telling her I will continue on with her, but haven't heard from her yet. I'm not too worried about it. If worse comes to worse, I will just tell them to fuck off with the training sessions. I'll be saving myself a hell of a lot of money and might be able to take that Vegas trip in March after all.

If I could have a do-over, I would not be signing up with that gym.

And now I suppose all that's left is to wait and see how it all unfolds.

UGH. Sooooo annoying. Hopefully it's all over now and you can just get your work-out on. If anything happens again, honestly, I think I'd ask for a refund of my membership and take my business elsewhere.

i told you gyms were germy germy places. on another note, i agree with lilu - get a refund and go elsewhere.

I'm all for going to LV in March! :)) Sounds absolutely fab! How about doing that, winning money in the casinos there, then coming back and hiring the bestest trainer in the planet plus Jamie Oliver to cook for you? Sounds like a plan, ey?

I say if this doesn't work, YOU should train them! Put them through YOUR ultimate workout! HA!!! Turnabout would be only fair, right?!

You have perseverance and have endured for my name's sake, and have not grown weary.

Slightly relevant no? Even though I am not much a fan of taking stock in such things.

Oh boy!

No wonder Madonna married her trainer ... good trainers are so hard to come by these days :-p

I'm glad you got your old trainer back - it sounds like you had a good working rapprt with her and that's hard to find.....I am proud of you!

From what I gather, your situation isn't all that unique. Trainers have a way of blowing off their clients on a regular basis.

Do you have a long-term contract with the gym? Just wondering. Sorry you keep having issues with your trainers. not awesome!

Vegas in March?? w00t! I'm planning on going in May - provided I still have a job.

This all sounds like too much work.

If I was in your shoes, I would have just said "fuck it" and decided to take a nap

I thought this story was kaput. Sorry to hear it still lingers on in the recesses of your brain.

Sounds like your gym has a SERIOUS issue with the reliability of its trainers. I work in a gym and can say that would NEVER fly in our place. And if shit like that was happening, our members would be getting personal calls from management to sort out the mess.

Wow. Going through all of that sounds like a workout by itself.
