No More!! NOO MOOOORE!!!!

Just when I thought that the gym situation was completely ironed out, it has unfolded some more.

Because I've had it up to the high heavens with this ordeal, I will give you bullet points:

  • I'm back with him (who, as my friend pointed out, eerily sounds like him).
  • And luckily, looks like neither of the two but resembles him.
  • Nom.
  • Ex-trainer is in for it ... new trainer says that she has manipulated the system so much (getting doctor's notes from out of her yahoo for skipping out on clients) that they couldn't just fire her seeing as how she is not in the probationary period any longer. Apparently I am the cherry on top of the sundae. The straw that broke the camel's back. He says she probably won't be there past the end of the month.
  • New trainer felt bad for me being stuck in the middle of all this drama (finally someone who is sympathetic!), so he is going to give me the next three training sessions FREE OF CHARGE!
  • That's like a really nice Coach handbag!
  • I really hope that he passed that by his manager ...
  • I worked out today after a week's hiatus (because I didn't want to get the evil eye from ex-trainer's boyfriend). When I left I think I saw her, but pretended not to. I also think I saw her see me and then whisper something to her boyfriend.
  • Then again, maybe I am paranoid.
  • I did workout upstairs instead of the main floor ... an avoidance tactic? Perhaps.
  • My first appointment with new trainer is tomorrow (he cancelled twice on me because he was sick ... which I'm sure was more added incentive to give the free sessions).
I hope that for my sake and your sake (and for the sake of the blog), that this is where the story ends.

In other news, I made protein bars (got the recipe from out of Oxygen magazine). They are super easy to make and taste yummy ... they are also easy on the purse strings considering that a protein bar can range from 3 to 6 dollars a pop. If you are interested in the recipe for them, just holler at me. I will be happy to share.

Would love the recipe!
Good on you for paying out for the trainers though. Despite all the drama. Have some weight to lose and not making it to the gym these days. :(
Resent spending money when REALLY I should look like a supermodel - (had a word with God and he PROMISED this time.)
the LIES.

WOW! Your trainer drama has worn me out and I'm not even the one lifting! I'm just glad that things seem to have settled.

Good luck with the new guy! I hope he kicks your booty...in a good way!

Seriously, they need a TV movie for this. Is this what happens behind the scenes on the set of The Biggest Loser? I can't believe all the cockamamey bullshit you've been through at the gym. He shouldn't even run the free lessons by his boss, they should just give them to you no questions asked. You're a damn good sport and don't avoid her. I say smile and be yourself. You didn't do a damn thing wrong.

Good to hear it worked out in the end.. Can't be to bad if he looks like Him :) I think most girls would be very happy with this situation..

I'm glad it ended well...although for MY sake I was hoping it didn't. I packed my gym bag this morning but thought, "If she had more problems with her gym, I'm not going to MY gym." Damn. Off, I'll be going! Oh, and could I have that recipe please? Thanks!

I'd love to see that recipe, I am tired of the 2-3 protein bars I can find in my little town! I hope you have better luck w/ this trainer now, I got one for the first time a few months ago and she's kicked my butt into shape so here's hoping you get the same results. My email for the recipe is marie-cat@live.com

This is some gym you've found - are all their emplpoyees failed actors? With all the drama they seem to produce - one might think so.

I hope that all the craziness ends soon so that you can actually get what you are paying for - the gym is supposed to help relieve stress not give you more.

Oh, and that recipe sounds like fun -

If this isn't the end of the story, I hope you will be in communication with your gym management. In this case, you shouldn't have to hear about mgmt through word of mouth, you should be in direct contact with them. It seems a tad bit ridiculous from where I'm sitting...

I hope this is it for you, too. Seriously - what a debacle!

What a crazy situation this has become. Man...and all to get in shape. I am so curious what gym this is! I hope this is the end of things.

Definitely shoot me the recipe. The only kind I've found that I like is peanut butter, and who knew? You can get sick of peanut butter.

Sometimes, avoidance IS the best tactic... hopefully she'll be gone soon!

I would like to not request the recipe, but would love to pass on my address and have them sent directly to me. :)
Kidding of course (but barely).

I love this trainer drama. It's almost too surreal to be real.

Holy criz-nap... that is a lot of gym drama. I don't think I could handle all of that. Now I am scared to rejoin the gym. Not really, I actually love the gym, especially classes. I just don't love psychos.

Such drama! As if you needed any incentive to stay home on your couch, eating potato chips. You deserve the three free sessions!
