Pain Is Good, Right?

Oh, Jesus Christ I have never been worked so hard in my life. Not even with Bootcamp. I thought that session would never end. My trainer had me do things that I never thought I could ... and almost couldn't.

But I powered through. And now I think I'm dying. And I have a cold coming on, which is perfect timing. If I hadn't committed to a trainer, I'd have already been slacking and blaming it on the infestation going on in my nostrils. I'm sure that excuse would've lasted for the entire year-long membership.

Tomorrow I meet with the nutritionist so she can tell me to eat steamed vegetables with lean chicken. And flax. Can't forget the flax.

Alrighty, feels like the cold medicine has kicked in. If I don't make it for Fashion Friday, send a search party.

Flax? Try Bob's Red Mill. I use this brand of flax-seed meal all the time.

I was so sore last night after my Sunday workout (but no hot trainer helping me....). My hubby thought it was funny to push on my sore spots on my shoulders. I was in tears laughing because it hurt too much for me to even tell him to stop. I feel your pain. I'm eating chocolate on the side though.

I hope you are feeling better soon - perhaps an early dose of flax would help?

Have you ever tried Emergen-C? It's so great. Just a big kick of C, which will help with the cold! Feel better.

Ha! You sound like me on Friday after my Wednesday TKD class (it hurts even worse 2 days after, so be prepared).

As for the cold, I agree with a previous commenter - the gyms can make it worse so make sure you wash your hands often while working out and afterwards and get some Zicam. I will tell you that twice I have used it when I felt the beginnings of a cold coming and twice the cold hasn't come.

You're such a trooper. I need to take a cue from you and pry myself away from my sofa!

I just wanted to let you know, I am still kind of sad over the Jilian thing.

Check out TVP (textured vegetable protein) It is a great protein substitute, and it is very easy to cook. Places like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's should have it.

Way to go powering through. While it hurts, it is a good hurt. I've had a couple trainers and they have pushed me to do things I never thought I could do but it is such a great feeling once you do it.

Hope you feel better!

But I bet all that working out scared some of the germs out of you!
